At Rainbow Divers Viet nam we like to keep it simple when it comes to our internship pricing with no hidden costs; everything included for your learning and diving experience. It's easy to understand when compared to most Zero to Hero websites where it can get Mind Boggling.

Below are 2 popular examples but we can tailor-make any package to suit any current level of diver certification (from any dive agency), for any length of time. Just email and ask :-)

$5,500 Complete Zero to Divemaster Package (Including Accommodation)

(With opportunities to earn commissions to subsidise this!)

This 3 month scuba diving internship takes you through PADI's diver education in sequence, proceeding from beginner to PADI Divemaster. Here are the steps:

1. PADI Open Water Diver: Learn how to scuba dive - includes theory, a shallow water skills session and four open water dives dow to a maximum depth of 18M.

2. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver: Make 5 more training dives to expand your scuba diving skills and experience into new areas of diving including deep diving (30M), underwater navigation, night diving, Fish ID, buoyancy control and more.

3. Emergency First Response and PADI Rescue Diver: First we make a one day CPR/First aid qualification before heading out to the water to learn how to manage and prevent scuba diving emergencies, including both surface and underwater rescue scenarios.

DM FACT: When comes to getting paid as a Divemaster Trainee, you need to be able to book + dive with customers. We know how best to do this, so will incorporate this into your internship programme.

5. PADI Divemaster Internship: Now training steps up a gear - you'll develop expert level scuba diving theory, assist with student divers in training, be trained to guide certified divers, undertake watermanship and problem solving exercises, map a dive site, conduct a scuba review for a 'rusty' diver and more. You'll take on real responsibility and become part Rainbow Divers Pro-Team.

In between these PADI courses and during the Divemaster training phase of the internship, you're welcome to make non-training 'fun-dives'. You'll pair up with another intern dive buddy or one of our Divemasters and head out to explore the dive sites, simply exploring and enjoying the marine life. This is a great way to develop your navigation skills and get familiar with the dive sites.

When you start your PADI training with us, we'll include a selection of Rainbow shirts + shorts for you to 'look the part' during your time with us.

As this is YOUR internship, we can be flexible with your dates. Join us when it best suits you and we’ll schedule your training accordingly.

You can even stop-start (restart within 6 months) if you prefer or your circumstances dictate.

Should you have to leave Vietnam before your training is completed, we’ll give you a PADI Referral form which means that you can continue at any PADI Divecentre Worldwide. We don’t offer refunds, but you can ‘resell’ your unused training to a friend.

6.PADI Instructor Development Course: Finally, we'll train you how to teach diving in the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). You'll learn about the standards which we have to work to as scuba diving instructors and we'll teach you how to deliver classroom, confined water and open water teaching presentations. You'll learn how to control a group of students in the water, and identify and correct student diver problems, making sure all your students qualify as safe, confident divers. This is an intensive course with a steep learning curve - throughout the IDC you'll develop a strong sense of camaraderie with your colleagues and Instructors and achieve a real sense of achievement as you raise your level.

7. PADI Instructor Examination: The last step is the PADI Instructor Examination (IE). Each month, an external team of PADI instructor examiners visits us from their head office in Australia, to evaluate our latest instructor candidates in an intensive 2 day evaluation. You'll be assessed on your scuba diving knowledge, classroom teaching, shallow water skills presentations and open water teaching. You'll be required to deal with simulated problems and show that you've got what it takes to work as a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor. Your PADI Internship with Rainbow Divers will have you more than ready for this examination - once the IE is complete you'll be certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and there'll be a bit of celebrating ;-).

You’ll need to have a laptop computer, bring it with you and you to access the digital versions of these materials.

So, what happens after the IE?

You are now a certified PADI OW Scuba Instructor. As soon as you receive confirmation from PADI that all your paperwork has been satisfactorily processed, you're eligible to start teaching your own students. Not just the Open Water Course, but the Advanced, Rescue, EFR and even Divemaster!

A daunting prospect? It should be! Now you need to put into practice all you've been taught.

At Rainbow Divers, we offer all our newly trained Instructors the opportunity to stay on for a while, AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, to team teach with our experienced Instructors. This is an invaluable opportunity and should not be missed!

For those Instructors who are serious about their Diving future, we offer an MSDT Internship, where we'll teach you to become an Instructor in 5 Specialty Courses. Combined with teaching experience to help you achieve your 1st 25 PADI student certifications, you'll be eligible to apply for your PADI MSDT Rating.

What's next? Well, for suitable MSDT, we'll offer you the opportunity to become a PADI IDC Staff Instructor.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We provide your own room in a small family-Hotel.

Everything you need is within just a few moments walk. Rainbow Divecentres are about 3-4 minutes walk away and you're close to the beach with many Vietnamese and Western restaurants, bars, internet, ATMs and shops.

Equipment

There are a few options when it comes to equipment.

* You can have your full own set of equipment assigned to you for the duration of your training with us. You'll be responsible for it and we'll show you how to look after and maintain it. 3/6 months rental = $250/$400

* You can elect to buy your own before arriving. We can assist with your selection. There are many great offers from PADI divecentres worldwide and also used gear on places like Ebay or Craig's List.
